Role: Solution Consultant

Mission Description: Business Case – Functional Analyst / Solution Consultant (3DEXPERIENCE)

1. Purpose of the Role

To support the acceleration and quality of 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) product delivery, we require an Expert Functional Analyst (AF) who can ensure robust functional validation, reduce solution gaps, structure functional data models, and strengthen our preparation for future migrations. This role is essential to guarantee the deployment in production in 2027 and also solution adoption, non regression, functional consistency, and long term scalability of the platform.

2. Core Responsibilities – Maturation Activities

The Functional Analyst will lead the full maturation lifecycle for features typically scoped at the EPIC level. This includes:

Requirements Assessment & Solution Framing

• Reviewing functional specifications produced by Solution Consultants for a reduced business scope (EPIC level).

• Translating these specifications into comprehensive test cases (cahiers de tests) to identify gaps against the existing ALREADY BUILD capabilities.

• Executing these test cases across standard 3DX capabilities and custom widgets to detect functional discrepancies.

Gap Identification & Functional Ticketing

• Documenting functional gaps through:

o User Stories (US) or Product Requirements Tickets (PRT) in Jira, including Business Requirements and detailed Acceptance Criteria.

o Test scenarios in Zephyr for developers, AFS teams and business stakeholders.

• Creating screen mockups when necessary (PowerPoint or Adobe XD).

Cross Team Alignment & Validation

• Presenting tickets to Solution Consultants, the data model Manager, Tech Leads, and Product Owners for validation, dependency mapping, and feasibility.

• Presenting tickets to developers for planning and estimation.

Test Data Preparation & Test Execution

• Preparing functional or test data when required.

• Executing tests during Continuous Integration phases and validating developments.

• Updating functional documentation accordingly.

Business Engagement & Support

• Leading business demos (one to one or end of sprint / PI demos).

• Handling business questions on existing functionalities and responding to feedback.

• Producing additional functional artefacts (PRT, US, procedures) as needed.

• Assisting Product Owners with prioritization activities.

• Supporting other AFs when dependencies or impacts arise.

• Assisting business teams during their testing phases.

• Executing acceptance tests for new PMU patches or releases (CVP scope).

3. Extended Responsibilities – Functional Analyst++ Expertise

Beyond core functional analyst activities, the position requires a senior profile able to bring deeper expertise and strategic value:

Reducing Customization & Preparing Future Migrations

• Identifying components that must be decustomized before migration to reduce long term maintenance and ensure better alignment with future 3DX standards.

High Level Functional Data Model Ownership

• Supporting Solution Consultants in consolidating and formalizing the high level functional data model.

• Creating clear one page mappings of business processes to 3DX solutions to improve adoption.

• Acting as the "bridge" between high-level business needs and technical/detailed data model teams.

Functional Impact Matrix Management

• Owning and maintaining the Functional Impact Matrix, ensuring test coverage supports non regression across domains.

• Improving overall quality and stability of the platform through systematic impact analysis.

Leadership on Key Functional Topics

Potentially leading sensitive or transversal topics, such as:

• Information segregation (P\&O).

• Activities linked to SOC (inheritance from Paul PP).

• LPM impact assessment on Keystone.

• Any topic requiring strong functional governance but not necessarily a D1 profile.

Advanced Test Methodology

• Defining broader test books at EPIC level to strengthen non regression test phases.

• Coaching teams on functional testing best practices.

Preparing for Future 3DX Evolutions

• Supporting long term migration planning (e.g., 19X → future NNX versions).

• Bringing expertise on transitions from PART based EBOM to PRODUCT based models, when this becomes mandatory for future releases.

4. Key Skills & Expertise Required

Functional & Technical Skills

• Deep expertise on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including standard functions and customizable artefacts.

• Strong capability to translate business needs into functional specifications and structured tests.

• Excellent understanding of functional data modelling and 3DX object models (PART vs PRODUCT).

• Proven experience in non regression strategy and large scale testing.

Methodological Skills

• Mastery of Agile framework (EPICs, US, Acceptance Criteria).

• Expertise in Jira, Zephyr, test book management, and documentation governance.

• Strong analytical skills for gap analysis and dependency mapping.

Interpersonal Skills

• Ability to collaborate with Solution Consultants, Developers, Product Owners, Tech Leads, and business teams.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to challenge solutions and propose simplifications to reduce customization.

• We need someone who can very rapidly ramp up and take ownership of various subjects as the deployment in production is scheduled for 2027
