Job tasks :
Datacenter Operation
▪ Accompany and supervise any third-party technician based on the Company’ s instructions, during the whole duration of their intervention in the Datacenter area.
▪ Manage the stock of the equipment and small physical infrastructure, update in real time the relevant inventories.
▪ Perform basic Operations tasks including visual observation, restart of equipment, connection and disconnection of external media, connection to physical management interface to check status, etc.
▪ Enforce application and regularly verify the enforcement of Datacenter policies (rules, security, safety, usage), which shall be shared by the Company prior expected compliance thereto, limited to in-scope infrastructure of this Agreement.
Datacentre support
▪ Coordinate all actions and actors, as necessary, in the execution of support activities and delivery activities.
▪ Enforce application of equipment installation/uninstallation/move procedures.
▪ Prepare/install/uninstall/move of equipment of any type (except network equipment), including server, data, network request (copper/fiber/SAN matrix, NGP/server/storage/backup related network components, VLAN information), security, etc., but except racks, according to applicable Equipment installation procedures.
▪ Prepare/install/uninstall/move of Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure according to applicable Datacenter procedures.
▪ Verify compliance to applicable procedures of install/uninstall/move of Equipment or Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure done by other people than the Service Provider’s.
▪ Regularly audit Equipment installations for compliance with applicable procedures.
▪ Regularly audit Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure for compliance with applicable procedures.
▪ Perform removal of sensitive components (e.g., hard disk) in decommissioned Equipment according to the client local rules related to the media sanitization.
▪ Follow up the physical decommissioning of the Equipment and sensitive components according to client local rules and WEEE directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), including the clean-up of unused/powered-off/unknown/orphaned assets, in coordination with client appointed vendor. For the avoidance of doubt, the Sub- Contractor is not responsible for the actual decommissioning of the Equipment and sensitive components.
▪ Perform basic activities on IT consumables, including entry and exit, inventory of backup cartridges, etc.
▪ Coordinate with the Company management team for Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure, including reception, update of asset and inventory, stock management, escalation to order, capacity planning, map, etc.
▪ Perform basic activities on Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure, including installation, uninstallation, move, replacement, etc.
▪ Perform troubleshooting on Small Physical Datacenter Infrastructure
▪ Update Datacenter assets & maps (e.g., cables, fibers, racks, layouts of data rooms …)
▪ Provide Support for Datacenter assets & Map audit
▪ Collect relevant information and update CMDB and capacity planning accordingly
▪ Identify and locate unused/powered-off/unknown/orphaned assets and report regularly to client
▪ Identify visible incidents in Datacenter environment (e.g., power breakdown, temperature elevation, light problem, wall degradation, tile instability, …)
▪ Open, follow up, escalate of incidents on Datacenter environment
▪ Provide support on specific requests from Datacenter administrators (e.g. specific inventory, specific installation, specific action on physical Datacenter infrastructure, …)
▪ Provide support to client during its major Datacenter consolidation and cleaning activities which are happening two to three times a year.
▪ Provide support to client during the preparation and the execution of regular Disaster Recovery Plan (“DRP”) - Tests.
▪ Maintain and update the documentation related to the Datacenter activities
▪ Perform Physical Inventory of each asset located in the Datacenters and or assets/spare parts/addons of assets in stock at least once a year.
▪ Brokering/removal of assets from client location, provide monthly report on assets removal with serial number
▪ Provide monthly reports on Datacenter activities
